Here we go

Well, it’s been kind of chaotic for us right off the bat, so we’re sorry we haven’t posted anything in here just yet. That’s what happens when you take one author with four kids (Rob) and one with two kids (me), give us full-time jobs, and then, say, “Oh yeah, it’s time for your book to come out.”

Enough excuses already. Sorry again. Here’s what we’ve been up to.

Sunday kicked off the public coverage of the book with a big feature in The Denver Post. http://www.denverpost.com/opinion/ci_14847759

Monday, we started our weeklong guest blogging for the Powell’s bookstore in Portland, Oregon. It’s one of the best independent bookstores in the country and we’ll be providing commentary there all week long. http://www.powells.com/blog/?p=17868

Monday, Rob appeared on national talk radio, the Hugh Hewitt show. While he initially thought he did badly, anyone who knows him knows that couldn’t have been possible. You should be able to read the transcript here later today. http://hughhewitt.com/blog/ By the way, he did come around after hearing himself on the radio to say he didn’t think he did so badly after all.

Here in Colorado, the blogs (both left and right) picked up on the book and its story. If you want to follow some of the conversation, you can weigh in here: http://coloradopols.com/diary/12128/schrager-and-witwers-blueprint-a-worthy-read or here: http://bendegrow.com/

For a first blog posting, that’s not too bad. We’re hoping for a Wall Street Journal and Washington Post review at some point soon. Also, we should have posts on Huffington Post, DailyKos and RedState.com here before the end of the week.

Have a great day everyone, I’ll try to keep things fresh here each morning.

Sign up to be a friend of ours on Facebook by the way. That’d be great.

Take care, ajs
